At last, some good news for motorists! It looks like fuel costs are set to come down as the supermarkets launch a price war.
Asda has triggered the price drop after unveiling cuts of up to 2p per litre – that is the first reduction in nearly two months, according to a report in The Telegraph.
Apparently, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons both immediately vowed to match the move in a huge boost to cash-strapped motorists, the newspaper announced in an online article.
Asda’s said its cuts will take unleaded down to 130.7ppl and diesel will drop to 134.7ppl.
Cash-savvy vehicle owners who want to reduce their motoring costs even further should follow these suggestions:
Buy your tyres online – if you need new tyres take time to search the internet for the best deals. Customers who buy tyres online from etyres are offered highly competitive prices on tyres to suit all budgets, including economy, mid-range and premium.
If you buy tyres online you are more likely to get exactly the tyre you need, instead of what is in stock at the local tyre depot. Also motorists who buy tyres online with etyres can have them fitted at their home or work.
Check your tyre pressure – as well as making a conscious decision to buy tyres online to guarantee the best deals, make sure your tyres are properly inflated, this helps to make your vehicle more fuel efficient.
