Pirelli tyres were the most recommended brand of 2010, according to data from a leading market research specialist.
Encircle Marketing, which specialises in the tyre industry, found that the Italian tyres manufacturer accounted for eight per cent of all recommendations – up by almost half a point on its 2009 performance.
Dominic Sandivasci, managing director of Pirelli UK, said the result confirmed the team’s hard work in ensuring that Pirelli products are the most desired in the market.
He said: “We are very pleased with the statistics. It is really gratifying, and a great result for all of the employees at Pirelli who have worked so hard to ensure our tyres and the service we offer is to the highest standard possible.”
According to Tyres and Accessories magazine, Pirelli is committed to reinforcing its credentials and put on an excellent display at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham last week.
As well as past and present F1 engineering masterpieces, the magazine reported, Pirelli also displayed a host of other attractions and activities including a GT Cup car and the Pirelli simulator.
The British Rally Championship Star Driver Elfyn Evans also attended with his rally car for the 2011 season, alongside a bevy of world famous Pirelli girls.
