It looks like the worst of the snow is behind us for now, with the snowmen melting and the roads back to normal.
But the snow could still have a few nasty surprises in store – especially for our car tyres.
Snow dissolves, but damage to tyres won’t go away – in fact it could turn out to be a bigger hazard than the treacherous weather.
Motorists who may have clipped the kerb or jolted over a pothole could have inflicted serious damage on their tyres, which could lead to slow punctures or even a blow-out at high speed.
Etyres recommends vehicle owners spend a few minutes giving their tyres and trims the once-over for signs of damage or bulging and checking their tyres pressure.
A few minutes basic maintenance at home in the morning, could save hours stranded at the roadside further down the road – not to mention also saving money in the long run.
