Look after your car tyres pressures

Despite the cost involved in buying new tyres, it is estimated that up to 60% of car tyres are running at incorrect pressures.  Having the correct pressure in your car tyres, which are of course the only point of contact between your vehicle and the road, is essential for fuel economy and safety.  Running your car on under inflated tyres can increase the risk of aquaplaning on wet roads, it can affect the cars handling on the road and corners, and can weaken the tyre itself causing it to fail.  Low tyres pressure can also lead to unecessary tyre wear, increased fuel consumption and therefore an increase in CO2 gases, which of course is not enviromentally friendly. 

Likewise an overinflated tyre is much more easily damaged when encountering pot holes or debris in the road, often leading to new tyres having to be purchased when quite possibly a correctly inflated tyre would much better be able to handle these hazzards.  Over inflated tyres will also wear unevenly across the tread again making the purchase of new tyres more frequent

With the cost of fuel seemingly forever on the increase, it makes sense to check your tyres pressures are correct at least once a month and always before a long journey.  You will save money on the frequency you need to replace your tyres, you will save money on your fuel costs, you will help reduce CO2 emissions and most importantly, you will be so much safer when driving your car

Vandals target car tyres on Wigan streets

This week, a street in Wigan was targetted by vandals late at night as they slashed 12 car tyres on 6 cars.  The hassle and expense and the inconvenience for these people when they went to their cars that morning to go to work only to discover that their car tyres had been slashed was something they could all obviously have done without.  One of the householders offered to ring around the Yellow pages on behalf of the others in order to get all the tyres replaced at one time.  After ringing around and receiving different quotes, he rang etyres and was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only were the prices extremely competitive, but we would also come to his home and do the job there and then for himself and his neighbours, all included in the quoted price.  This of course saved the customer from having to put his spare tyre on his car, travel to a tyre depot and then collect all his neighbours tyres which they would then have to put onto their own cars after a day at work.  The gentleman didn’t know there was such a thing as mobile tyre fitting and assured our fitter that he would definitely use etyres again and would reccomend us to his friends, family and work colleagues.

This is the great advantage of using etyres when your car tyres need replacing.  You can just carry on with your day, whether that be at work or at home and our mobile fitter will come to you at your convenience and do the job whilst you carry on with your day, and all at no extra charge!!
