Potholes – the bane of our tyres Lives!

June 23, 2009

Michelle – tyres Isle of Wight writes: Apparently, our roads are blighted by an average of one pothole for every 120 yards of tarmac!

The bitter winter made them worse, but the snow and ice are long gone now and yet we’re still suffering with damage to our car tyres.

The best advice we can give is to check your tyres as soon as possible after your have rattled through a nasty crater.

Look for obvious signs of damage, cracking, bulges, tears and also damage to the rims. All of these could spell trouble down the road.

But even if you do damage your car tyre in a pothole – your wallet doesn’t have to feel the pain too because you can get cheap tyres with etyres!

Loads of our customers are amazed when we turn up with the new tyre they have ordered only to discover they’ve just got a puncture which we can repair for a fraction of the cost.

And if they’re already an existing etyres customer, they get puncture repairs for free!

But if you need a new tyre you can rest assured we offer the best deals around because we offer a mobile tyre fitting service which means we don’t have expensive depots to run so our overheads are low and we pass the savings onto customers in the form of lower prices – up to 40% cheaper than the leading high street depots.

Not forgetting the added bonus of us coming to you – so you don’t have to drive on your damaged tyre.

Hanging on to old tyres can be a costly mistake

Michele – tyres Isle of Wight writes: Drivers might think they are saving money by not replacing their old, worn out tyres, but the truth is it can be a huge false economy.

Damaged or illegal tyres are not just a safety hazard, putting drivers and passengers at risk, because they affect the cars handling, they can also lead to costly problems.

Just a few weeks ago the Isle of Wight police carried out a safety check operation on our roads and handed out a fixed penalty notice to a driver with a defective tyre.

But what a lot of motorists don’t realise is that as well as fines and points on their licence, if they have an accident and their tyres are illegal it can void their insurance policy.

In other cases where an accident happens, vehicle owners can lose their no-claims-bonus.

Nobody wants to splash out loads of money on new tyres, but by coming to etyres you can get cheap tyres, premium or good quality tyres, but up to 40% less than the traditional high street depots because our overheads are so low.

We operate a mobile tyre fitting service so we don’t have expensive depots to maintain and we pass the operational savings on to our customers in the form of lower prices.

And we save our customers time and hassle by fitting the tyres at a location of their choice, at home or work.
