Most people think tyres are boring and an unwanted expense when they need replacing, so we are delighted to have stumbled across someone who finds them as interesting as we do!
Amadou Fatoumata Ba is an unconventional Senegalese artist who uses old tyres as raw material for his amazing sculptures and his work has been showcased in a short video as part of the Real Time series for the BBC News website.
We wouldn’t go as far as to say tyres are exciting, but certainly the giants creations he exhibits at a museum in Saly, a coastal city near to the Senegalese capital, are worth a second look if you click here.
And of course, when it comes to your everyday tyres, we always encourage our etyres customers to give theirs a thorough check at least once a month to make sure they have at least the minimum legal tread depth of 1.6mm (watch our tyre tread depth video if you are not sure how to do this), are properly inflated and are not showing any signs of outward damage, such as cuts and bulges.
If you discover your tyres need replacing we are currently offering some great deals on our already highly competitive prices, thanks to our Summer Sale, which means you can get £25 off if you buy four new tyres or a £10 discount if you order two or three new tyres.
