Pirelli has just shared a beautiful sight to behold…and it’s not its 2016 calendar! It is these gorgeous photos of its P Zero tyres fitted as original equipment to Bentley’s new SUV, the Bentayga.
Capable of 301kph, making it the fastest SUV in the world, the P Zero tyres are being tasked with transmitting its power to the road and each tyre homologated for the luxury vehicle features the B marking, indicating to dealers and end-users that the tyre was made especially for Bentley.
And as if this story couldn’t get any better, the tyres for the Bentley Bentayga are produced at the MIRS (Modular Integrated Robotized System) facility in Burton upon Trent, the home of one of Pirelli’s two UK manufacturing facilities.
Pirelli claims global leadership in the ultra-high performance tyre segment, with prestige relationships with luxury brands such as Bentley singled out as particularly important. The tyre manufacturer says the technology behind its products has been developed over a long period of time and is constantly evolving due to the extensive research and development focus at Pirelli.
Dominic Sandivasci, UK managing director for Pirelli tyres, said: “Our focus is very much on the prestige segment and Bentley is the perfect fit for this category. We spend a lot of time working with high performance vehicle manufacturers to ensure we are creating a product that meets all their requirements.
“It’s great news we’ve been able to do this for Bentley with the Bentayga and that we are fully homologated for this impressive high-speed ultra-luxury vehicle. With 100 per cent original equipment on the car, we have been able to design and develop tyres to meet an exacting specification to provide ultimate driving performance.”
