Michelin Increase

Michelin have announced that, due to rising raw-material costs, they will be increasing their prices for passenger car, light commercial vehicle, truck and farm tyres across Europe. Car and light commercial tyre prices will rise by 3.5 per cent in most markets, however in the UK the increase will be 7 per cent. The larger than average price rise in the UK is due to the relative strength of the euro compared to the pound.
The increase in truck tyre prices will be 8.7 per cent in the United Kingdom. While farm vehicle tyres will increase by up to 9 per cent, depending on the brand and range.
All new prices will be implemented between March 15 and July 1, 2008.
