There was a great article in the Daily Mail recently which highlighted the cost of fixing our potholes has risen to £12 billion after record flooding over winter added another £1.5 billion to the bill to repair them all.

Equally alarming is the fact that compensation claims for damage, including wrecked tyres and alloy wheels, now cost taxpayers £32 million a year.

The Daily Mail report it could take 12 years to clear the backlog of road repairs in England and Wales – in the meantime its the motorists who have to suffer the consequences of driving over a pothole.
