Hankook tyres are delighted that Princess Anne will cut the ribbon at the official opening of their latest new UK warehouse.
The Princess Royal will perform the ceremony for the tyres company on 7 February at the Heartlands business park in Daventry.
She is visiting the town in her role as patron of the charity Transaid, which aims to improve the lives and prospects of people in developing countries by improving their local transport links.
Tony Lee, managing director of Hankook Tyres UK, which has been supporting the charity for six years, said: “Hankook Tyre UK has been based in Daventry since 1997.
“The continued increase in market share has led to the need for an additional stock holding facility which shall be located on Nasmyth Road on the Heartlands business park.
“The increase in capacity will allow us to improve the service and supply to our highly valued customers.”
He added: “Hankook Tyre UK has an established partnership with the charity, Transaid, having provided support to them for over six years.
“We take every opportunity to support them in their valuable work to improve transport across Africa and other developing countries.
“We are delighted that HRH The Princess Royal, patron of Transaid, has chosen to come to Daventry to commemorate our recent expansion.”
