Falken Azenis FK510
The Falken Azenis FK510 is an ultra high performance tyre. It features an innovative new compound designed with safety in mind.
The Azenis FK510 uses Adaptive Constant Pressure (ACP) technology. This distributes pressure evenly throughout the tyre’s footprint. As a result, stability, driving dynamics and braking performance are all improved.
In addition to this, the Azenis FK510’s tread pattern features rounded shoulder contours, wide grooves around the circumference and a pattern of blade sipes. This tread design helps to cut through water on the road surface and prevent aquaplaning.
Falken have also applied 4D nano design technology to the Azenis FK510, which gives it superior grip and improves its wear life.
EU tyre label authorities have rated the Falken Azenis FK510 between C and E for fuel efficiency (depending on tyre size). It received an A rating for wet braking.
Falken Azenis FK510 Features
- High levels of safety and control
- Shorter braking distances
- Increased stability in high-speed corners
- Excellent wet and dry handling
- Blade sipes reduce the risk of aquaplaning
Falken Azenis FK510 Tyre Tests and Reviews
The Azenis FK510 performed well in Auto Motor und Sport’s 2018 Summer UHP Tyre Test. It ranked second out of eleven because it was easy to handle in wet conditions and demonstrated short braking distances. Testers found the tyre to have a slightly slower steering response in the dry, but overall would recommend.
The Azenis FK510 also performed very well in the Automobile Club Europa’s 2018 Summer Tyre Test. It came top out of eleven tyres tested.
In a similar vein, the Azenis FK510 scored a remarkable 9.0 out of 10 in Test World’s Summer Tyre Test. In this test, handling, breaking, aquaplaning, noise class and rolling resistance were all evaluated on a variety of tracks in a range of conditions. The Azenis FK510 came in at an impressive fourth out of sixteen tyres tested.
The Azenis FK510 also performed brilliantly in Auto Bild’s 2017 Summer Tyre Test. Testers said it was easy to control, displayed good stability and had short braking distances. The affordable price tag made its performance all the more impressive. Although some rolling resistance was noted, the tyre was still rated as ‘Exemplary’ overall and ranked second out of twenty tyres.
