Continental launched the AllSeasonContact in 2017 in response to the growing demand for this increasingly popular type of tyre.
While Continental continues to strongly recommend appropriate summer and winter tyres for maximum year-round safety, it has designed the AllSeasonContact for use in regions where temperatures are relatively mild and the winters are not demanding. It is also targeted at low mileage vehicles driven in mainly urban areas.
The German tyre manufacturer credits the AllSeasonContact’s “impressive grip on snowy and wet winter roads” to an “adaptive all-season compound” – the Traction Silica Compound – which contains “winter performance resins” and “a high silica fill rate.”
The Conti AllSeasonContact is also billed as not only offering year-round safety and performance, but also delivering a significant reduction of fuel consumption, making it a sound choice for cost-conscious motorists.
Continental AllSeasonContact Features
- Impressive grip on snowy and wet roads due to a silica compound with a high proportion of resins
- Tread pattern reduces risk of aquaplaning thanks to high open shoulders
- Stiff tread pattern with minimum sipes for better handling and braking on dry roads
- Bears both the snowflake/alpine symbol and the M+S marking
- Best-in-class rolling resistance performance leads to a significant reduction of fuel consumption
Continental AllSeasonContact Reviews & Tests
Auto Express All-Season Tyre Test (2018) – Test Winner
This test was the Continental AllSeasonContact’s UK test debut. And it certainly didn’t disappoint!
Auto Express tests are known to put tyres through their paces to decide the safest and most assured products on sale. It therefore holds much value that Auto Express named the AllSeasonContact Test Winner after finding it performed consistently well in wet, dry and snowy conditions.
Even more impressively, the AllSeasonContact’s triumph in Auto Express’ All-Season category marks an exciting triple test win for Continental, across the magazine’s three main season categories.
AMS All-Season Tyre Test (2018) – Test Winner
Again emerging as Test Winner, in Auto Motor und Sport’s All-Season Tyre Test, the AllSeasonContact was praised for its strong snow performance, its direct steering response and its excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions.
ADAC All-Season Tyre Test (2018) – Second Place
In ADAC’s 2018 All-Season Tyre Test, the AllSeasonContact ranked second out of eleven tyres tested. With excellent wet grip and snow performance, the German motoring magazine ranked it above all other tyres except the Nexen N Blue Season.
