Vehicle owners in Coventry have become the latest victims of mindless tyres-slashing vandals.
But the good news is the thugs were caught on CCTV as they knifed the tyres on around 30 vehicles in Grange Road, Longford, on Thursday and Sunday night.
Now the owners are facing repair bills running into thousands of pounds to repair and replace their tyres.
But at least the police appear to have something to go on in their hunt to track down the culprits, because they were captured on a home security system as they knifed the front tyre of a silver Ford Fiesta at about 4am on Sunday.
It shows two men, one of whom crouches down next to the tyre as the other keeps a look out over the road.
One street resident, who was changing two tyres on his son’s Fiesta, told the Coventry Telegraph newspaper: “What satisfaction do they get out of doing a thing like this?
“We’re just coming up to Christmas, people can’t afford it.”
etyres fitters are regularly called out to jobs where the car tyres have been vandalised and fortunately in some cases the puncture can be repaired.
By using etyres free mobile tyre fitting service at least our customers don’t have to worry about how to get their vehicles to a garage or tyre depot, because we come to you whether you are at home or work.
And because our operating costs are low, so are our prices – often up to 40% cheaper than the traditional high street tyre depots.
