Tyresafe, the UKs leading tyres safety organisation, has appointed a public relations company to help drive home its important messages.
The Red Marlin Communications agency will start work immediately to raise awareness of tyres-related safety issues across a wide range of consumer, trade and business audiences.
The PR team will be responsible for developing a stream of regular news and educational stories.
They will also help TyreSafe engage with relevant stakeholder groups to widen the distribution of its tyre safety messages.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of Tyresafe, said: “Red Marlin showed a clear understanding of our needs and the issues affecting the industry.
“Their plans and ideas gave us great confidence that they can contribute enormously to the organisation, helping us to raise awareness about tyre safety issues and reduce the number of accidents and fatalities which sadly occur as a result of poor tyre care.”
The campaign will utilise a variety of media to target drivers and those responsible for vehicle and road safety. The work will cover car, commercial and off-road vehicles, as well as motorcycles and caravans.
The first major project to be handled by the new agency will be this year’s Tyre Safety Month which takes place in October.
