Toyo tyres is sponsoring the World Final of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup which will be broadcast on TV into millions of homes.
In these crippling economic times, tyres companies are scrutinizing their sponsorship deals, but the Japanese tyres makers have jumped at this opportunity.
The event takes place in Planica, Slovenia, between 18 and 22 March, and the final will be watched by two million viewers around the world.
Competitors come from the traditional Scandinavian countries, Europe and beyond, including Russia and Japan.
Although it doesn’t reach the mind-blowing audience of the American Super Bowl – an estimated 100 million viewers – which is heavily sponsored by Bridgestone tyres, the event will be watched by two million fans when it is beamed around the world by TV channels including the BBC, Eurosport and CNN.
With their name emblazoned on bill boards and giant stands around the event, Toyo will be hoping their brand name will jump out and stick in their minds.
