TyresSafe is launching its first ever industry roadshow in the New Year to promote tyres safety in the UK.
The free event will be hosted by leading motoring expert Quentin Willson, who will deliver an insight into the challenges the UK continues to face from defective and illegal tyres.
TyreSafe, the UK’s leading tyre safety organisation, will also highlight how companies from a wide range of sectors can get involved, and the vital role that they play in helping to save lives.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, said: “TyreSafe has achieved an incredible amount in its short history but we need the support of other companies and industry sectors to reduce accident rates even further.
“This event will gives companies an opportunity to understand what we do and how, with their help, we can save even more lives from tyre related accidents.”
Visitors to the roadshow, which will be held on Wednesday 26th January in Solihull, will learn about the devastating consequences of neglected tyres from forensic vehicle examiner for Cumbria Police, Shaun McKeown, one of TyreSafe’s recent ‘wheel heroes’.
Tim Peacock, group product manager for the Volkswagen Group (UK) will also outline how the VW group has benefitted from its membership of TyreSafe.
