Quentin Willson has been driving home the message that part-worn tyres could end up costing motorists their lives.
The motoring expert told readers of his Sunday Mirror column to think again before opting for the tyres because they are cheap.
Under the headline ‘Tread carefully with cheap tyres, Quentin wrote: “Please don’t buy part-worn tyres – because you could be gambling with your life.
“Undercover Nottinghamshire Trading Standards officers bought 10 tyres from part-worn dealers – and all of them were illegal and would have failed the MoT.
“I know everyone’s trying to make economies but, when it comes to tyres, it’s not worth saving the forty quid.”
Cost-conscious vehicle owners are discovering that by searching online they can get the best deals available. Also, etyres operates a mobile fitting service which means we fit the tyres at a location of the customers choice – at their home or work – and so because we don’t have expensive depots to run, our prices are up to 30% cheaper than the leading high street chains.
So don’t change what you would normally buy – change how you would buy and check out our low prices for premium, mid-range and budget tyres.
