Mini is the latest in a long list of car manufacturers urging their vehicle owners to consider switching to winter tyres this year.
Volkswagen, Porsche, Seat, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz have also advocated the use of winter tyres for UK motorists.
Once the temperature dips below seven degrees Celsius winter tyres are proven to outperform their summer counterparts because they offer better grip for acceleration, cornering and braking.
Now consider that the Met Office statistics show that the mean average UK temperature in winter months over the past century has always been under six degrees Celsius.
And couple that with weather forecasters warning of frequent and heavy snowfalls across many parts of the UK during November, December and January and you can see why it’s a good idea to act sooner rather than later.
So if you don’t want to get stranded in the snow or lose control on the ice, give etyres a call, we are already taking orders to fit winter tyres before the rush starts.
