A popular TV lifestyle series is homing in on ways that motorists can curb their travel spending and help to save the planet, like chosing the right tyres.
US show Designing Spaces has set out to find ways to educate consumers on making their lives “greener” by encouraging environmentally-responsible travel.
Michelin tyres were invited on to the US show to offer expert advice and tips on ways tyres can make a difference as part of the segment entitled “Think Green”.
The tyre company experts will offer advice on choosing the most fuel-efficient tyre that lasts longer and incorporates the highest quality and safety features.
It’s a golden opportunity for Michelin to plug its improved fuel-efficiency MICHELIN® HydroEdge® tyre which they claim offers consumers even more than the previous generation of eco-friendly tyres.
Rob Cunningham, brand category manager for Michelin North America, said: “Up to 20 percent of the energy needed to operate your car is directly related to the tyres.
“And with certain tyres, like the Michelin HydroEdge, consumers can save money at the pump and extend the life of their tyres while making a smart investment for both the wallet and the environment.”
The segment will educate viewers on the benefits of tyres that are engineered for low rolling resistance and therefore, lower CO2 emissions like those branded with Michelin’s “Green X” label.
