We are increasingly aware of tyre depots who want to sell customers replacement tyres rather than repair punctures.
A typical example occurred in Edinburgh at the weekend where our customer was told their flat tyre wasn’t repairable. Horrified at the price the garage charged for new tyres, the customer went home, shopped around on the internet and booked the tyre to be supplied and fitted by us.
When we took the tyre off, we noticed that the nail was in a repairable area so we plugged it for the customer and refunded the price of the tyre. We may have lost the sale but have gained a customer for life!
The credit crunch affects everyone – but customers shouldn’t have to pay unnecessarily to keep businesses with high overheads afloat – etyres is a mobile fitting service which means we don’t have expensive depots to maintain and therefore the savings are passed on to customers in the form of cheaper prices.
