Even the top law official in California is not immune from petty crime.
Attorney General Jerry Brown had the two passenger side tyres stolen from his Toyota Camry Hybrid – while it was parked outside his home in Oakland last week.
Even more amusingly, the story came to light after he revealed he’d been the victim of tyres thieves on his Facebook page!
Mr Brown wrote: “Even though I am California’s ‘top cop’, two of my tyres were stolen.”
But he appeared to shrug his new role as a victim of crime off as a minor inconvenience, adding: “No matter.
“I got 2 new ones and I’m rolling again!”
The thieves struck when Mr Brown was in Sacramento on business, but his car was parked outside his home.
Scott Gerber, the Attorney General’s spokesman, confirmed he filed a police report and that no suspects had been identified.
It just goes to show, it can happen to anyone.
