The future of new tyres is being previewed at the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show, courtesy of Bridgestone.
The Japanese tyres manufacturer is showcasing the concepts behind its new tyres from 5 to 9 November and revealing some of its latest technological innovations.
The world’s largest tyre and rubber company and “Official Tyre” of this year’s show, will display three new tyres concepts for the first time in the future zone at the show.
Bridgestone tyres stand will features its technologies, products and ideas for the future, with a strong focus on environmental solutions; these include the Air-Free concept tyre, the Half-Weight concept tyre, and tyre with ologic technology for the next generation of environment-friendly vehicles.
Shoichi Sakuma, President of Bridgestone Middle East and Africa, said: “For the first time Bridgestone will be the “Official Tyre” of the Dubai International Motor Show. The Bridgestone tyres stand will feature a ‘4D Theatre’ where visitors will get to experience the performance Bridgestone tyres on a simulated road trip.
For the car drifting enthusiasts, the Bridgestone stand will host and display the Red Bull Chevrolet Camaro fitted with Potenza tyres. This is the same car model that current record holder Abdo Feghali used to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Vehicle Drift.
Bridgestone is also one of the main sponsors of the Red Bull Car Park Drift finals that will be held on November 8, 2013 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
