Bridgestone is delighted it has been shortlisted for a top tyres industry award – and hopes to retain the title for a second consecutive year.
The Japanese tyres manufacturer is already the current holder of the coveted ‘Tyre Manufacturer of the Year’ TAFF (Tyre and Fast Fit) award and hopes to win it again this year.
The annual awards are a prestigious event in the tyre industry calendar as the nominees are selected and voted for by the UK’s leading tyre specialists, all members of the NTDA (National Tyre Distributors Association).
The awards recognise significant efforts of tyre manufacturers which benefit distributors and their customers.
John McNaught, managing director of Bridgestone UK, said: “It is always a great pleasure to be nominated for industry awards, but even more so for the TAFF awards as the votes are cast by people in the industry.
“Being shortlisted in the Tyre Manufacturer of the Year category is hugely rewarding for us as it recognises our continued efforts to deliver premium products to our customers as well as working closely with dealers to add value to their business.
“We are hopeful that we can keep hold of this award for the second year running and we are looking forward to seeing if we can defend last year’s victory.”
The winners will be announced at the award ceremony at the Birmingham Metropole hotel on 20 October 2011.
