Pirelli has entered the prestigious ECPR Ethical Index EMU.
The classification reinforces the Italian tyres manufacturer’s credentials as a socially responsible firm for investors.
The ethical finance index is produced by Italian investment bank E. Capital Partners (ECPI), a leader in the rating of socially responsible investments
The index includes the 150 companies of greater capitalisation of the EMU market (Economic and Monetary Union), who have been found to be leaders of sustainability as a result of the screening, conducted in line with the parameters of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), for the assessment of environmental risk, social impact and Corporate Governance structure.
Subjected to the screening, Pirelli was inserted in the ECPI Ethical Index EMU as well as in the investable universe of the ECPI Ethical Index Global and the ECPI Ethical Index Euro.
Last autumn, Pirelli was also included in the Financial Times twice-yearly sustainability indices for the seventh consecutive year.
The business newspaper confirmed that the Italian tyres company had once again secured its place in the FTSE4 Good index, which measures corporate performance in terms of respect for international standards of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
