Fabia
The Fabia is quite big by supermini standards, but it’s dinky enough to excel in the city, and the controls are light. Skoda has shod the Fabia in a range of different tyres including the Pirelli P600s, Duplop SP Sport 01s, Bridgestone Turanza and Firestone F590s. The Uniroyal RainExpert is recommended as a sound replacement tyre offering protection against aquaplaning and reduced braking distances, together with the Michelin Energy Saver.Octavia
A supple and comfortable ride means the Octavia handles well, too, with plenty of grip. The Dunlop SP Sport 01 is recommended for good grip, braking and low noise. The Michelin Pilot Exalto, which offers excellent grip and steering response when cornering is another tyre option together with the high performance rain tyre Uniroyal Rainsport 2.Superb
The Superb is stable offering a comfortable ride, yet despite its size it also manages agile cornering. There are a number of suitable replacement tyre optionsfor the Superb, including the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx which delivers more contact with the road surface, delivering better response and stability as well as improved cornering; the Yokohama A539, which balances performance and comfort and the ContiSportContact 3 for a smooth quiet drive. Our National Sales Team can provide impartial advice about a number of suitable replacement tyres for your Skoda depending on your model and driving style. Background Information on Skoda
In 1990, Skoda entered a joint venture with Volkswagen and the brand was reborn. Skoda became the fourth brand in the Volkswagen group, alongside Volkswagen, Audi and Seat.Since then, Skoda has gone from strength to strength, especially in the UK market with owners consistently ranking the brand at or near the top of the J.D. Power customer satisfaction survey.
Changing Skoda Tyres
Changing Skoda Car Tyres should require 3 primary choices:- The overall quality of the tyre (durability, wear, ratings, cost) desired for the Skoda
- The speed rating that the Skoda Tyres should have depending upon the driver's average and occasional "fastest-driven" speed
- Deciding if local and/or regional weather patterns merit keeping two sets of tyres for dry vs. wet road conditions

Further, if an owner wishes to put tyres on different sized wheels for the Skoda, a careful decision about what size tyres will be valid for that Skoda is required. If, for example, a larger wheel size is desired, then the profile (height) and/or the width must be reduced to avoid damaging the drive train. A 195/65/15 tyre for that Skoda, for instance, on a 17" rim, could legitimately become a 165/65 (narrower) or a 195/55 (shorter) but could not stay a 195/65 as before. A handy calculator for changing tyre sizes can be found here.
All tyres for any Skoda vehicle should be fitted using the proper torque, according to the manufacturer's specifications. Torque is the amount of pressure used to tighten the wheel nuts. For tyres that are fitted to the following Skoda models, the torque settings are listed. Also, the recommended air pressure to put into tyres for Skoda models is listed. Further, the alternate tyre size for Skoda models.
