Peugeot 207The 207 is a brilliant all-rounder with a desirable image, offers a smooth ride and is pretty quiet, too; with these qualities there are a wide selection of replacement tyre options for the 207. The ContiSportContacts or ContiPremiumContacts, depending on the model, offer shorter braking distances, aquaplaning protection and excellent cornering stability. The Pirelli P6 and Dunlop SP 01 also both provide a quiet grippy tyre option.
Peugeot 308The 308 has plenty of grip and good body control, however the stiff suspension requires tyres that offer a smooth ride and precise steering. etyres recommend Pirellis P Zero and Avon ZZ3, Dunlop SP Sport Maxx which offer good performance, tyre life and good steering response and improved cornering stability.
Peugeot 508The 508 is an enjoyable to drive, with well controlled body movement and steering that’s responsive. The car would be complemented by ContiSportContact or Bridgestone Potenza tyres, which provide excellent handling and precise steering response. Goodyear Eagle F1, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 or Vredestein Ultrac Sessenta tyres will deliver performance and security.

Background Information on PeugeotPeugeot celebrated 200 years of manufacturing cars in 2010, which it marked with the launch of the new all-electric Peugeot iOn city. It is one of the first zero tailpipe emissions, four-seat urban cars to go on general sale in the UK. It has a potential range of 93 miles and can be recharged from a standard domestic plug in around six hours, or via a quick charger in under an hour. Peugeot believes the ever-increasing fossil fuel costs and the need to reduce CO2 emissions have made electric cars a viable modern alternative option for urban transport.
Changing Peugeot TyresChanging Peugeot Car Tyres should require 3 primary choices:
- The overall quality of the tyre (durability, wear, ratings, cost) desired for the Peugeot
- The speed rating that the Peugeot Tyres should have depending upon the driver's average and occasional "fastest-driven" speed
- Deciding if local and/or regional weather patterns merit keeping two sets of tyres for dry vs. wet road conditions
Further, if an owner wishes to put tyres on different sized wheels for the Peugeot, a careful decision about what size tyres will be valid for that Peugeot is required. If, for example, a larger wheel size is desired, then the profile (height) and/or the width must be reduced to avoid damaging the drive train. A 195/65/15 tyre for that Peugeot, for instance, on a 17" rim, could legitimately become a 165/65 (narrower) or a 195/55 (shorter) but could not stay a 195/65 as before. A handy calculator for changing tyre sizes can be found here.
All tyres for any Peugeot vehicle should be fitted using the proper torque, according to the manufacturer's specifications. Torque is the amount of pressure used to tighten the wheel nuts. For tyres that are fitted to the following Peugeot models, the torque settings are listed. Also, the recommended air pressure to put into tyres for Peugeot models is listed. Further, the alternate tyre size for Peugeot models.
