The Dunlop SP Sport 9000 is a new unidirectional high performance tyre, an improvement on the SP Sport 8000. Features:
  • A 10% reduction in rolling resistance, versus the SP 8000, plus 25% improvement in wet performance, has been accomplished by using 100% silica compound for the tread. A patented system for removing static electricity has been used, via small ring of carbon black compound embedded in the tread all around the tyre.
  • Optimal location of transverse tread grooves reduce noise, in both tread and shoulders, due to the multi-shift variation used in the new tread pattern.
  • A jointless nylon band has replaced the conventional nylon cap ply to ensure more even distribution of contact patch pressure. This means better uniformity and high speed durability.
  • Slanted tread grooves reduce aquaplaning.
  • Fan shaped pattern, and no centre grooves, reduces noise.
  • SP Sport 9000 provides 10% more mileage durability than the SP 8000 due to less negative tread and shallower treadsthat improve dry handling as well as wear.
