TYRES     TUNBRIDGE WELLS BLOGS

July 15, 2009

John – tyres Tunbridge Wells writes: Summer’s here and while most of us look forward to the hot weather, it’s not so good for our tyres.

The heat makes the air inside the tyres swell up and that in turn forces pressure inside to expand – over-inflating your tyres and making them less reliable on the roads.

It’s very important to have properly inflated tyres, as this assures the best possible contact between the tyre and the road.

Also, an improperly inflated tyre can heat excessively, potentially leading to a blow-out on the highway.

Read your owner’s manual to find the correct tyre pressure for your vehicle or you can find it on the panel inside the driver’s side door jam. Adjust the level immediately if necessary and test the tyres once a week – and especially before a long journey.

Properly inflated tyres will also last longer, improve fuel mileage and reduce your carbon emissions – not bad for a few minutes work!

John – tyres Tunbridge Wells writes: Nobody likes having to buy new tyres, but it’s something we all have to do to stay safe and legal on the roads.

But at least etyres can take away some of the financial pain and the hassle away from having to take time out of your day to get the work done.

Etyres operate a mobile fitting service, which means we come to you, whether you are at home or work, to replace or repair your tyres, and even to fit a new battery.

And because we don’t have expensive depots to run our overheads are low, which means we can pass the savings on to our customers in the form of cheaper prices – up to 40% lower than the traditional bricks-and-mortar depots.

Whether you are juggling school runs, meetings or trying to run a business, our fitters can always fit in around your timetable.

Our mobile service really does save you time and money!
