We can now supply your car with winter  or all weather tyres which will give better grip in snow and cold weather  temperatures. This could be the factor which will get you to work instead of getting stuck. Winter or all weather tyres  are also better in wet weather too, and  many people who fit winter tyres preffer  to keep them on all year round in order to make their cars safer in all conditions.

Majority of  tyre centres have not been able to fullfil demand for winter tyres as they are not imported to the UK in large quantities, but etyres are now able to supply them to your order. Remeber that you will also benefit from  etyres mobile fitting service at your home or work too, so you do not have to waste  your time  queueing up in a tyre centres.

To make sure that extra grip gained by having winter tyres on is matched evenly between the front and rear wheels we would always recommend fitting winter tyres in sets of four . Tyres on Caravans maybe out of sight for most of the year but they should not be out of mind as the consequences of neglect could spell disaster.

 

Apart from the hitch, your caravan’s tyres are the only things that keep your mobile home on the straight and narrow. Proper inspection of the tyres is an absolute must to ensure safety for yourself, and of course other road users, and could spell the difference between a fabulous fillip to remember or a heap of fire wood to forget.

Caravan tyres are subject to the same rules and regulations as the car that is towing it so the minimum tread rule of 1.6mm across the centre three-quarters of the tyre applies. However caravan tyres very rarely wear out though and they are much more likely to suffer from old age and distort from improper storage.

Proper tyre inspection is essential and in any event it is recommended that tyres are replaced every five years. Fortunately tyres have a date coding so the age of your caravan tyre can be readily determined.

Apart from the signs of wear and tear look for cracking on the sidewall and between the treads and for distortion and deformation and if in doubt then have the tyres replaced.

Caravan owners should always consult the handbook for the correct replacement tyre, pressures and torque settings for the wheel nuts. If you don’t have a handbook then contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
