Close x etyres tyre size guide

Here at etyres Sutton Coldfield we are always pleased when our customers take the time to write a review on Trustpilot, the independent review website for online retailers, about our mobile tyre fitting service.

Mrs Gaffney wrote the following after we fitted a Continental tyre to her Mercedes Benz:

Amazing Service
“The whole process was so easy and efficient. There were no unexpected charges. The fitter showed me the problem with my tyre before he did anything else and I think the job was finished within about ten minutes. I have already recommended the service to several of my friends and would definitely use etyres again.”

Here at etyres we fit van tyres, car tyres, 4 x 4 tyres, runflat tyres and caravan tyres. We have a wide range of tyres at all different prices. Don’t despair if you get a puncture – use our mobile repair service
September 10, 2014

With older cars you were always supplied with a spare wheel in case you got a puncture, but recently with the newer models you only get a space saver tyre or, even worse, a tyre repair kit. This can be really stressful especially if you suffer a flat tyre away from home or whilst out on a journey.

Add to this the fact that our roads are in such a poor state, many of them riddled with potholes, and a puncture can spell double-disaster for many motorists.

The good news is that etyres Sutton Coldfield offer a puncture repair service, which could save you a lot of money, because it means you do not have to buy a brand new tyre. All our puncture repairs are carried out in compliance with the British Standard (BSAU159). To get an idea whether or not your tyre can be safely and legally repaired, download our free Repairable Area Tread Gauge and follow the instructions.

If you discover one of your tyres is punctured we recommend the first thing you do is avoid driving on it. Next, find the exact tyre size which is embossed on the sidewall of the tyre. Do not look it up on the internet, because the tyre sizes given are not always compatible with the vehicle and you can waste valuable time getting back on the road by ordering the wrong tyre size.

Then order your new tyre online from etyres Sutton Coldfield by entering your tyre details in the box on the left. Alternatively you can contact etyres Sutton Coldfield on 0121 241 2977 or our national sales team on 0800 028 9000 or 0333 323 9000 for a local rate call from a mobile, to place an order or seek advice.

Once you have placed your order, our etyres Sutton Coldfield team will be in touch to arrange a time and place to repair or replace your punctured tyre. We always bring along a brand new tyre just incase your puncture cannot be repaired – that way, we can get you back on the road again as quickly as possible.

Whilst you are checking your punctured tyre it may be worth checking your other tyres as well. If you notice that you need more than one tyre you can take advantage of our Back To School Sale, which means you get £10 off if you order two or three new tyres and £25 if you require four or more new tyres.

Check your tyres before your MOT test
August 18, 2014

If your car is coming up for its MOT test, before taking it to the garage it’s worth taking a look at your tyres to make sure they don’t cause it to fail.

Check the sidewalls of your tyres for chunks or cuts and also check your tyre tread depth. By law you must have at least 1.6mm, if you don’t your car will fail the test and even worse if you get caught by the police you could receive a fine and three points on your driving licence for every illegal tyre. If all four of your tyres are illegal this means you could receive 12 points.

You might think about buying your tyres from the main dealers or your local garage whilst having your MOT done, but have you thought about using a mobile tyre fitting service like etyres Sutton Coldfield. With etyres you get to choose which tyres you want to put on your car and our prices are always highly competitive so you get a great deal.

Our mobile tyre fitting service means we can come to your home or work to fit your new tyres, allowing you to carry on with your day, so there is minimum disruption to your routine.

Plus, it’s our Summer Sale which means we have got some great deals on all the tyres we supply and fit, so you will receive £25.00 off if your buy four or more new tyres or a £10 discount if you order two or three new tyres. These discounts cover the entire wide range of tyres we supply and fit, including all the well-known brands, such as Falken, Toyo, Continental, Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Goodyear, Hankook, Nexen, Firestone, Vredestein, Yokohama and many more.

You can also use our free mobile service if you need a puncture repair or a new battery fitted to your vehicle.

So if you need new tyres you can order online now using the search tool on the left or you can call our national sales team on 0800 028 9000 or 0333 323 9000 for a low rate from a mobile.
