Do you need to spend so much on your tyres?

So why is that so many people feel obliged to buy their most expensive tyre available for their car. Premium brand tyres do offer excellent life and performance, but there are lots of mid range brands which I would happily recommend to our customers. For example, I have had Kumho KU31s and Falken ZE914s on my car during the last four years. I do around 25,000 miles a year up and down the country and have been really happy with both the performance and the life of both makes. Many customers with more expensive cars are switching from premium brands to Kumho, for example. Kumho KU39s are a sportier option which often rate A for braking performance in the wet. Considering these are priced just above the economy range and that they are outperforming much more expensive tyres, contemplating choosing a mid range tyre is a bit of a no brainer! I would happily recommend switching to Hankook, Nexen, Kumho, Toyo and Falken in particular. Don’t stretch your finances; get a great tyre at a great price.
