So if you have not used the caravan or trailer for a while, then it is very important to remember that the only contact your caravan has with the road is via your tyres so it is vitality important that your caravan tyres are up to the job that is required of them.

First of all the condition of the tyres should be checked. The caravan tyres should be checked for cracks, splits and deterioration of the tyre rubber around the tyre walls and around the tyre tread pattern. The tyre should also have the minimum tread depth of 1.6mm around the tyre.
