When was the last time you checked your car tyres?

 

So when was the last time you did actually go out and check
your car tyres for damage, wear, correct fitting etc. Well at etyres
Northampton whenever we visit a customer to replace a tyre we always inspect
the other tyres whilst we are there including checking and adjusting the air
pressure and some of the faults that we discover just this month are
staggering. Just in the last few weeks etyres Northampton have visited
customers and found runflat tyres fitted on cars that should not have them,
different size car tyres fitted to the same axle and generally 75% of tyres are
under inflated. It should take no more than five minutes or so to check your
car tyre pressures and this should be done weekly first and foremost for your
own safety and secondly to gain the maximum life and efficiency from your car
tyres.

Get Ready For Summer!

Now we have seen the final frosts (hopefully) and fast approach summer and the holiday season, we all need to be making sure our tyres are in good condition for the season ahead. Many people take extra care with their tyres in the run up to winter and at etyres Northampton we notice how when the weather forecast is for snow we receive a massive spike in the orders we receive. However in the Summer the weather can be just as volatile if not worse with flash flooding the main culprit and tyres that are incorrectly inflated or tyres under 3mm will struggle to cope with these conditions. Don’t be caught out this summer and wait until winter to check your tyres, check them regularly it could save you more than just money in the end.
