Checking your tyres pressures
June 23, 2009
Matt – tyres NW6 writes: To see extended service from your car tyres and the best ride and road holding it is essential the tyres are checked for condition and pressure at least once a week.
To help you set the tyres at the correct pressure many car manufactures note the correct pressure setting on a plate or sticker on the driver’s door frame or sometimes on the fuel filler flap.
The size of the tyres is usually shown followed by the pressure setting. Sometimes two tyre pressure settings are given, one for normal load and one for higher load when you are carrying extra passengers or a boot full of luggage.
Don’t forget setting your tyres at the correct keeps you safe and gives much better MPG.
And remember, properly inflated tyres also reduce your cars CO2 emissions – which means that you’re on the road to more environmentally friendly motoring!
Look after your tyres if you’re keeping your car longer
Marcus – tyres NW6 writes: We find more and more people are keeping their cars longer and are waiting to replace them until the economy stabilises.
The customers we meet out on the road fitting tyres are telling us that they want to save money on their running costs but don’t want to cut corners and compromise on safety or quality.
In a nutshell, they want good quality tyres, but they don’t want to pay premium prices!
This is where etyres can help!
We operate a mobile fitting service, which means we don’t have expensive depots to run, so our overheads are small.
The knock-on effect for you is that we can pass the savings on to our customers in the form of low prices – often up to 40% cheaper than the leading high street tyre depots!
Plus, with the added bonus of us coming to you, it means you don’t have to waste time – and fuel – getting yourself to a depot to have your new tyres fitted.
And there are no hidden extras – all our prices include fitting and VAT.
