HELP WITH YOUR TYRE PRESSURES
July 13, 2009

To help you set the correct pressure for your tyres most car manufacturers place a sticker on the car with the correct tyre pressure noted on it. These can be found in most cases in 2 different places on your car, the first is on the drivers door frame or secondly on the fuel filler flap. At first glance these can be hard to interpret as they can show the pressure settings for several different tyre sizes but all you need to do is find the correct size for your tyres (this is shown on the tyres side wall) and then find this size on the sticker and note the correct pressure. Some cars will have pressures for front tyres, and then show pressures for rear tyres.Confusing isn’t it, well don’t worry help is at hand just call us at your local e tyres branch on 020 3292 0162 and we can tell you the correct pressure for your tyres. A correctly inflated tyre will be safer and save you money by reducing your fuel bill.

Tyres – Safety and Euro Law
June 23, 2009

Marcus – tyres NW3 writes: All tyres sold for road use in Europe after July 1997 must carry an E-mark.

The mark itself is either an upper case “E” or lower case “e” – followed by a number in a circle or rectangle, followed by a further number.

An (upper case) “E” indicates that the tyre is certified to comply with the dimensional, performance and marking requirements of ECE regulation 30.

A (lower case) “e” indicates that the tyre is certified to comply with the dimensional, performance and marking requirements of Directive 92/33/EEC.

The number in the circle or rectangle denotes the country code of the government that granted the type approval.

The last number outside the circle or rectangle is the number of the type approval certificate issued for that particular tyre size and type.

To ensure your safety check your tyres regularly.
