GLOUCESTER PRAISE

I had four tyres fitted by John from etyres.  I would highly recommend John for his quick, efficient and friendly service.  I will use him again, especially as I can have the work done at a time and a place convenient for me.

New Tyres for Spring

March 11, 2013

Winter tyres cope better with freezing temperatures, but why not think about removing and storing yours now spring is here?   By alternating winter and summer tyres  you can save whatever wear you have left on your winter ones, which cope better in freezing temperatures, until next winter comes along.

At etyres we work around your work schedule, fitting tyres at your home or place of work.   Many people choose etyres because there’s nothing more convenient than booking a tyre fitting online and having an etyres fitter complete the job while you carry on working!

Pot holes cause a lot of damage to wheels; if yours are suffering because of these, and your steering wheel shakes at speed, it’s likely that your wheels could do with balancing.  This service is free every time we change tyres – please contact us for details.

Save cash at the pump with the correct tyre pressure

John – tyres Gloucester writes: With fuel prices rising so high, here is a quick tip to help you save a few pounds at the pumps – make sure your tyre pressure is correct.

If your car tyres have got the right amount of air in them, it will make your vehicle more fuel efficient, because under-inflated tyres have lower rolling resistance and need more energy to make them turn.

Studies even show that when car tyres are under-inflated by just 20 per cent (around 6psi), 3 per cent more fuel is used and it has been estimated that in the UK as much as £337 million of fuel is wasted each year as a result of driving on under-inflated car tyres.

And there are other significant advantages to ensuring you have the correct tyre pressure.  It means your car tyres may well last longer, be less prone to blow-outs and will help to reduce your CO2 emissions.

Checking your cars tyre pressure is a quick and easy job and should be done at least once a month or before a long journey.

You can find the correct tyre pressure for your vehicle in the driver’s handbook, inside the fuel filler cap or on a plate on the driver’s door sill.

And remember if you need new car tyres, etyres offer highly competitive prices for a wide range of tyres to suit all budgets.
