If your car is due an MOT this March, one of the most common cause of fails are tyres that do not have enough tread or tyres that are wearing too much on the inside. Before going you should check the state of your tyres by turning the wheel onto full lock at the front so you can have a look across the whole tyre to make sure the inside edge hasn’t worn down too much. You can also do a quick check of the tread depth by running your finger in the tread and feeling to see if the lump in the tread is flush, as this would indicate it is at or below the legal limit of 1.6mm.
