Part worn tyres or new tyres?

March 11, 2013

After reading an article about part worn tyres, I would like to share with you what I have found out. Tyres that are part worn can often be a false purchase and quite often are sold illegally. A tyre safety organisation recently brought 50 part worn tyres and a staggering 98 per cent of the tyres were sold illegally. One of the tyres that were brought was even described by an independent examiner as “having the potential to kill” and more than a third of the tyres were said to be dangerous. So if you ever do consider buying part worn tyres please think twice.

Here at etyres we only sell new tyres and we operate a mobile fitting service which keeps our overheads low and our prices are highly competitive. You can order your tyres or battery from your local etyres direct on 020 8945 5016, online or by calling our National Sales Team on 0800 028 9000 where we are also happy to offer help and impartial advice.

Don’t let potholes ruin your car tyres and leave a hole in your wallet

Tracy – etyres Dulwich writes: Potholes are a total menace and they can cause serious damage to your car tyres, which could also leave a big hole in your wallet if you have to fork out for a replacement.

However, we have got some advice to offer our etyres Dulwich customers which could help to protect your car tyres and save you some money.

Firstly, make sure your car tyres are properly inflated, because this can minimise the damaging effects of driving over a pothole.

If you do drive over a pothole, check your car tyres as soon as possible for signs of damage, such as cuts, sidewall bulges or a buckled wheel.  Even if there are no immediate changes you should continue to inspect the tyres and check the pressure, because the damage could lead to a gradual loss of pressure, which can be potentially dangerous and could lead to blow-outs at high speeds.

Finally, if you have suffered any damage to your tyres remember that etyres Dulwich operate a mobile tyre fitting service which means you do not have to risk causing further damage to your tyre by driving it to a garage or tyre depot.

And we also offer a puncture repair service, which could save you hundreds of pounds if you do not need to buy a new replacement.

You can order online or by calling our National Sales Team on 0800 028 9000 where we are also happy to offer help and impartial advice or by calling etyres Dulwich direct on 020 8945 5016 for any information about our mobile tyre fitting service.
