Farringdon is a suburb of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
Farringdon is council-built housing estate, erected in
the 1960's. It is approximately 3 miles south of the
city centre along the A690, close to Silksworth and
Doxford Park.
Since it was built, the majority of residents have
bought their homes. Approximately 5,000 people now live
on the estate.
Farringdon contains a large secondary school (Farringdon
