More about Bonnybridge West Lothian
Bonnybridge seems to be some kind of the landing
strip for flying saucers and other mysterious, metallic,
hovering craft. Scotland has the highest concentration
of UFO sightings on the planet.
UFO sightings in the central Scottish areas of West
Lothian and Stirlingshire, particularly around the small
town of Bonnybridge, near Falkirk increased since 1992.
Developed in the 19th century, Bonnybridge is a small
town in the central Scottish areas of West Lothian and
Stirlingshire.
It is situated on the Bonny Water and the Forth and
Clyde Canal 4 miles (6? km) west of Falkirk, 30 miles
west of Edinburgh.
This Scottish town has been a center of UFO activity for
several years.
Scotland is a very special place in the world indeed.
According to the researchers, Scotland recorded the
highest number of reported UFO sightings per head of
population.
"Traditionally Scotland has had a lot of odd incidents,
right through history, from ghosts and poltergeists to
supernatural beings and the Loch Ness monster. So,
Scotland is well-known as a place where strange things
happen".... "People have seen all kinds of things in the
Bonnybridge area”
It may sound like something out of an episode of The
X-Files but at least one entrepreneur is taking
Bonnybridge's reputation as Britain's UFO capital
seriously. He has drawn up plans for a multi- million
alien theme park near the town.
He wants to use Scotland's UFO phenomenon as a vehicle
for exploring the nation's culture, history and future.
Visitors would be transported in spacecraft-like
shuttles to various amusement complexes ranging from an
Olympic stadium to a casino housed in buildings modelled
after flying saucers. There would also be an indoor golf
stadium, Highland games and bagpipers, all protected
from the Scottish weather.
He's not the first businessman to consider the potential
of Bonnybridge as a tourist attraction. A prominent town
councillor started looking at the possibilities of
tapping into the UFO phenomenon for tourism reasons two
years ago, when he initiated discussions with a major
film company.
Bonnybridge is in the "Falkirk Triangle", an area from
Stirling to Fife and the fringes of Edinburgh that is
the scene of numerous UFO sightings. It averages about
300 sightings a year and of the population’s 5,500
people 2,000 of them claim to have seen something
unexpected in the night skies.
In the meantime Bonnybridge continues to be the most
popular place for visiting unidentified objects.
