Ashmore Park is a fairly small housing estate just
outside of Wednesfield, a town which was formerly in
Staffordshire in England, and is now in the city of
Wolverhampton, West Midlands. It forms most of the
Wednesfield North ward of Wolverhampton City Council.
There are two main shopping areas, known locally as the
'top shops' and the 'bottom shops'. Musicland is
situated on the 'bottom shops' next to a Stars
newsagents. There is also a Youth Club on Griffiths
Drive, the youth club is frequently broken into by
youths on the estate which has resulted in it closing
during the week and the equipment being stolen.
It was originally built as overspill for Wolverhampton,
but was built within Wednesfield Urban District. Most of
the estate is 1950s council houses, flats and bungalows.
