GREEN = MILES CHEAPER
Most people feel that in order to be environmental, they
have to spend loads of money on “green” products and
services. In the case of etyres, the UK’s leading online

In 1999 etyres became the first national tyre company in
the UK to establish a green policy. Then in October 2005
etyres became the first to publish a Price Check of tyre
depot prices. This highlighted the massive savings

Now the company has extended the Price Check page to
include the other online tyre retailers, and etyres is
still “miles cheaper.”
etyres is able to slash costs because instead of
expensive tyre depots, the company uses a fleet of
mobile tyre fitting vans equipped with state of the art
tyre changing and wheel balancing machines.
The journey mileage of one of these vans travelling a
planned route is far less than multiple customers’ cars
driving to a single tyre depot. This type of journey
planning is much better for the environment. And as of
October 2004, any new van added to the etyres fleet runs
on LPG, which also dramatically reduces the amount of
pollution produced.
