etyres scares Kwik-Fit into eliminating tyre prices from website

16 November 2005 – Only weeks after etyres posted its new Price Check feature on www.etyres.co.uk, Kwik-Fit has responded, not by reducing their prices, but by eliminating six of the eight compared tyres from its own website. Kwik-Fit has apparently decided not to publicise their prices rather than look more expensive than mobile fitting company etyres. The etyres Price Check page illustrates that etyres is miles cheaper than traditional tyre depots such as Kwik-Fit, obviously touching a nerve.

Working with the Kwik-Fit prices that are still available online, further price comparisons (chart below) were made on 15 November 2005, showing that etyres remains the low price leader.
