The UK’s leading consumer magazine Which? has published the results of its latest tyres test.
The report singles out nine tyres for its ‘Best Buy’ endorsement, including some cheap brand tyres, that Which? say offer really good value compared to the premium models.
And it points the finger at four tyres it says consumers should ‘avoid at all costs’.
Continental came out on top in both of the size groups tests – 205/55 R16 W and 185/60 R14 H – with other premium brands Michelin and Bridgestone faring well.
But it was the cheaper brand tryes Uniroyal RainSport 2 and the Kumho Solus KH17 who stood out with their ‘Exceptional Value’ ratings.
However, at the other end of the scale, the ‘Don’t Buy’ rating went to the Vredestein Hi-Trac, the Kenda Komet SPT-1, the Maloya Futura Primato and the Wanli S1032 M+S.
More details are available in the April issue of Which? and online at www.which.co.uk.
