Last week we ran a story about a man who was fined £1000 for allowing old tyres to be dumped under a disused industrial unit.
The tyres had come over from Germany and were due to be sold in this country as part worn, however the tread was too low to be legally used.
The good news was that at least these tyres never made it on to the UK roads, but the fact is dodgy dealers may try and sell tyres which are illegal or only have a short life span left and customers buy them because they are cheap.
As the old saying goes “if it seems like it’s too good to be true, it probably is”.
Just because they are cheap doesn’t make them a bargain, especially if the tyres are so worn they will lead to accidents, blow-outs, even fines, endorsements and invalid insurance claims.
Instead, motorists who are looking for cheap deals should turn to etyres, the UKs leading online tyres company, to find the best prices.
etyres is miles cheaper than the traditional high street tyre depots because our overheads are low and we pass the savings on to our customers in the form of lower prices – up to 40 per cent less than the big chains.
