A top US law firm has launched a website focusing on the dangers posed by tyres which have design or manufacturing defects.
And it offers safety tips for consumers, ranging from information about tyre anatomy to the hazards of aged tyres.
Greene Broillet and Wheeler, a respected product liability and personal injury law firm, launched its Tyre Defects website at http://www.tire-defect-law.com/ to focus on defective tyre design and manufacture that can present serious safety hazards to drivers, passengers and other innocent victims.
The firm has successfully challenged many top tyres manufacturers and the work of attorney Christine Spagnoli led to a federal investigation of Goodyear load-range E tyres, used on large SUVs and 15-passenger vans.
The website also offers tyre safety tips for consumers, including information about tyre anatomy, tyre tread separation, tyre inflation and tyre age to better understand how and where defects can occur and what can be done to prevent accidents.
Spagnoli, a chief litigator for the company, said: “Unfortunately, tyre manufacturers and sellers don’t provide adequate warning or instruction to protect consumers and warn them of tyre-related dangers.
“Instead they often make excuses and try to blame consumers for accidents and fatalities involving tyres when, in fact, it is their own design or manufacturing errors which are at fault.”
