The leading UK tyres and equipment trade show Brityrex International is moving to a new venue for the 2012 event.
The biennial event – a highlight for the tyres industry – had been held at Manchester Central in 2008 and 2010, but ECI International has switched to EventCity to take advantage of what it regards as the venue’s “superior all-round offer”.
Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI International, said: “We are very confident that EventCity will prove to be a successful new home for Brityrex International and a popular choice with exhibitors and visitors.”
He added the new venue will provide “important facilities such as free car parking, good transport links and plenty of hotel, entertainment and leisure options” not available at other locations in the city.
The change of venue has been welcomed by the main sponsor of the exhibition, the National Tyre Distributors Association.
Richard Edy, director of the NTDA, said: “By moving to EventCity, Brityrex can overcome some of the issues that have been problematic in previous years, such as car parking. It’s excellent news that the UK tyre industry’s highest profile trade event will be taking place at one of the country’s most prestigious exhibition venues.”
The show will take place from 9-11 October 2012 and will bring together dedicated tyre and equipment trade exhibitors and buyers from across the globe.
