Mindless tyres-slashing vandals have left a trail of destruction after attacking vehicles in Torquay.
Furious motorists are having to pay out hundreds of pounds after their tyres on cars and vans were damaged recently.
One victim said: “People need to know the lowlife have crept from beneath their stones and are again causing havoc to parked cars in the area.”
He was one of several victims who woke up on Sunday morning to find their tyres damaged.
“All four of my tyres were punctured by an individual who has not stopped to think of the consequences of his actions — although one assumes he has the necessary brain to do any thinking.”
He added: “At the grand old age of 90 I am not so nimble on my feet and the use of a car gives me mobility for shopping.
“I am now faced with replacing the tyres at a cost of £160, which I can ill afford.”
He said it was a pipe-dream to believe the offender will ever be caught and ordered to compensate his victims.
Funeral director Kevin Lack was also a casualty of the tyre blitz late last Saturday night.
He said: “There have been some yobbos up here doing this. The police have been called — but no one knows who is responsible.”
He said all four tyres of a funeral car were attacked, leaving him with a bill of replacement for £370.
“I know one person whose vehicle has been targeted three times with all four tyres being damaged. It’s cost him £1,500 so far,” said Mr Lack.
