The race is on to find an aspiring young journalist with a passion for motorsport from the car tyres to the drivers.
Bridgestone tyres has launched its e-reporter for the sixth year running and the winner can look forward to an exciting entry into their chosen career with a brand new laptop and support from the tyre manufacturer.
The competition is open to European students aged between 18 to 30 who are in full-time education and it has given previous applicants invaluable journalistic experience and help to establish a long-term career in the media.
An international judging panel will select 11 finalists from the sample writing submitted by the budding reporters.
The finalists will attend a MotoGP or GP2 Series race weekend and produce an article based on their exciting, on-site experiences and interviews with the drivers or writers.
Gerry Duffy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, for Bridgestone Europe: ‘Bridgestone is continually looking at ways to invest in the community and is very proud of the e-reporter programme and achievement in terms of developing careers.’
The closing date for entrants is March 31, 2009.
