A terrifying new commercial designed to ‘shock’ motorists into buying winter tyres is taking the internet by storm.
Billed as ‘the most terrifying advert you will ever watch!” by the Daily Mail, the commercial for winter tyres comes with its own disclaimer and health warning.
It was created for a Japanese tyre manufacturer to show how well its winter tyres perform in dangerous or unexpected conditions.
The 40-second thriller begins with a warning message which reads: “Not for the faint of heart. Please refrain from watching the content if any of the following applies to you: – Have any mental or physical health concern and may have to see a doctor regularly. We shall not be liable for any injuries, illness, and damages claimed to be caused by watching the contents.”
Following the message, the advert shows a view from the windscreen of a car as it drives along a deserted road through falling snow. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the shadowy figure of a young girl appears up ahead in the middle of the road.
What happens next makes viewers jump out of their skin!
The commercial has received rave reviews on Facebook and Twitter and can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vnY3k3ynqk.
Motorists who are not convinced that winter tyres are worth the expense or hassle should go to etyres winter tyres page where the full benefits are explained. A couple of short videos (not at all scary) also demonstrate how effective winter tyres are on snow and ice covered roads.
etyres supply and fit a wide range of winter tyres to suit all budgets and is currently offering £25 off all winter tyre orders.
