The snowmen have long since melted, but the legacy of the cold winter lives on in the form of potholes in our roads.
The appalling weather caused potholes and craters which are wrecking our tyres and causing thousands of pounds of damage to our cars.
Punctured and torn tyres, damaged wheels, suspension and alignment problems, are just some of the problems UK vehicle owners are having to contend with in the wake of the wintery weather.
Hardly a day goes by without a report on the news wires of someone facing a huge bill to put their car right after jolting over a pothole worsened by the snow and ice.
The trouble is, some motorists hurtle over the potholes and don’t immediately realise they’ve punctured their tyre or damaged the wheel and continue driving for days or even weeks.
Most local councils are inviting road users to call in when they notice a pothole so they can fix it as quickly as possible.
